Supporting the Local Community
As a local business, Foley’s is committed to supporting the local community with active involvement in area activities. Long term sustainable timber harvesting practices enable us and our suppliers to promote the growth of Wisconsin’s renewable resources. The timber we and our contractors harvest is removed from DNR managed forest lands and private Wisconsin landowners’ properties. These practices are in combination with strict harvesting guidelines set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and corresponding forest management plans developed by foresters throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Highly Trained Staff
Many members of our staff are highly trained arboriculturists that recognize the different unique qualities of each species of timber and maximize its value as a heat source and beauty in your home. Our investment in wood handling and processing equipment enables us to maximize the heating value and BTU of each piece of wood whether it’s for residential home heating or for commercial cooking purposes. Our offices, wood processing facility, and warehousing abilities in Tomahawk, Wisconsin allows us to process and fulfill orders very large and very small.

Equipment
Working with wood and trees in the woods and in the log yard is a tough job requiring specific equipment designed to handle the job. At Foley’s, we use only the best equipment that is up to the task at hand.

Kiln Direct Firewood Kilns: We use state of the art kiln-direct mini-quick kilns to dry all of our USDA certified firewood products.
Terex Skid Loaders: Using Terex tracked skid loaders we are sensitive on the ground and distribute heavy loads evenly. These machines are the easiest to operate and built tough to handle the daily tasks associated with moving logs and firewood.
Multitek Firewood Processor: We rely heavily on the Multitek day in and day out. With low maintenance and little to no downtime, it is a trusty machine around our firewood yard.
